She just came from Sweden and she loves Bollywood so much! She is dancing with her sister who is professional latin dancer since she was young. Amazingly she can understand and speak Hindi! She is really looking forward to dancing with you all 😉

ボリウッドとは？

海外のインドダンス…

久しぶりの投稿になってしまいました。

レギュラーレッスンを終了してからしばらくダンスレッスンの方向性について悩んでいたのですが、最近ありがたいことに色々なコンタクトを海外の方から頂き方向性が少し見えて来ました。

‘初めまして！今度日本に観光で行くんだけど、その時に一緒にワークショップをやらない？’

日本では、インドダンス市場は小さいし先生も少なく色々なダンスを体験することが難しいと感じていたので、とても嬉しいオファーでした。英語ができて良かったと心から思いました。

■ ドイツから来たクリシュナ先生とのガルバダンスワークショップ

クリシュナ先生はドイツでボリウッドダンスとガルバダンスを教えていました。ガルバダンスとはインドのグジュラート地方のフォークダンスで、グループで輪になってシンプルなステップをエネルギーに踊るダンスです。以前踊ってみて楽しかったので、開催することにしました。
広い場所を借りてのワークショップ！多くの方に来ていただき、楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
パフォーマンスもオンラインでレッスンを教わるということにチャレンジ！
感想は。。。やっぱりオンラインはもう少し時間が必要です　笑

旦那さんもすっごく協力的で、一緒にイベントを作り上げました。
インターネットがあれば、距離も時間も乗り越えられますね。

■ カナダから来たプロのボリウッドコリオグラファー、チェイズ先生

はじめに、プロフィール写真を見た時には恐れをなしてNOと言いました　笑
プロフェッショナルすぎる！！

でも、チェイズ先生の情熱に負けて開催することに・・・

作ってくれた画像ももうプロフェッショナルすぎる。
どこにアップロードしていいかわからず、とりあえず友達に送ったのを覚えてます。

実際のワークショップは、本当に本当によかったです！こんなプロの方のダンスを間近で見るチャンスなんてないだろうし、すごい迫力もあって、いいもんみた・・・・！！！　というのが感想です。今でも動画を見るたびにあの感動を思い出します。

今後もこのような活動は続けて行きたいと思っています。
ダンスを通じてだからこそ知り合えるチャンスがあると思いますし、
世界のことをもっと知れる楽しみが増えました。

ボリウッドとは?

インドのポップ音楽のことで大勢で楽しそうに笑顔で踊っているダンスです！みなさんも一度くらいはテレビで見たことがあると思います。インドの映画は1本が2-3時間と非常に長いのですが、その中にダンスが何回も出て来ます。

正確にいうとボリウッドとはインドのヒンディー語映画産業のことで、その映画に出てくるダンスをボリウッドダンスと呼んでいます。ボリウッドダンスとは、ヒンディー語映画に出てくるダンスのことです。
名前の由来ですが、インドのボリウッド映画産業都市、ムンバイの旧名ボンベイとハリウッドを合わせた名前だそうです。

インドは本当に広い国で言語もいくつもあります。映画産業もボリウッドだけでなく南インドのタミル語映画のコリウッドやテルグ語映画のトリウッドなどがあります。日本で有名な「ムトゥ踊るマハラジャ」はインド映画ですが実はタミル語のコリウッドなのです。

ボリウッドのマーケット規模

実は大きいです。インド人のコミュニティーが世界中にあることもあり、インドだけでなくアメリカ、イギリスなどでも大変人気のあるボリウッド。チケットのセースルはハリウッド以上だとも言われています。またボリウッドの有名スターのシャールクカーンは、世界の高収入男優で日本では有名なハリウッドスターを抜き二位に入っています。

日本で上映されたボリウッド映画

アミールカーンの映画は「きっとうまくいく（3idiots）」と「PK」が有名ですね。個人的気には特にきっとうまくいくが感動しました。何度でも見たくなるいい映画です。
あとは何と言っても「オム・シャンティー・オム(Om Shanti Om)」！これはインド映画ならではのストーリ展開と、美しいディーピカのデビュー作。まずはこのあたりから押さえて見てください。

日本でのボリウッド

インドは最近ではビジネス分野で注目を浴びていますが、きっと日本人の方からするとインドは謎が多く、ボリウッドもマイナー市場であることは間違いないです。それでも、少しでも多くの人にボリウッドやインドの文化の本当の楽しさを伝えられたらと思っています。
